Drake’s Twitter thread is full of positive affirmations about his life

Started from the bottom, now he’s here: Yes, Drake once made $100 opening for Ice Cube at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, but he’s still not satisfied with his current cash-sorted ranking. The rap star took the time to respond on Twitter to his new, $250,000-plus-a-year salary offer from Google, and he seemed downright happy to be able to make his living from his talent.

“It’s not about the money, or being rich,” he wrote. “Being rich is a choice but being happy is the choice you have when you’ve been down. I’m living the dream and you should do it too. Thanks Google for your help.”

Drake’s Twitter thread, in which he discussed the many sacrifices and hardships his career has led him to endure, was certainly full of positive affirmations about his life.

“I can’t wait to get back to the studio and finally get the chance to record a real album,” he wrote. “I’m blessed to have the career I do and most of you know me better for being very humble. I’m blessed to have good people to work with and I’m very thankful for the good music you love and that makes you feel good.”

On his Twitter page, Drake, who started his career as an underground MC at home in Toronto, can also be found sharing photos of his family, and his wife, Karrueche Tran, and their young daughter. In his most recent tweet, he wrote, “You guys and girls, it really is the best thing I have ever known. I love you.”
