President Obama and his Democratic challenger, President Hillary Rodham Clinton, had a friendly and amiable exchange Tuesday at the beginning of their respective news conferences at the White House.

WASHINGTON — President Obama was unshaken in asking his Democratic challenger to commit the resources necessary for “real change,” and the answers were unequivocal.
Clinton pledged on Tuesday ahead of her news conference that the President will have the “stability and the resources” needed to make his agenda a reality.
“I will build on the progress that President Obama has already made and build on that progress even more. I will work across party lines and across the country to get the job done,” Clinton said at the news conference, which included a discussion of gun control, the economy, education and health care.
The two began talking at the beginning at joint news conference.
As they talked, Obama looked on from his box at the back of the news conference. After a brief pause, he motioned to his press secretary to continue. He spoke briefly about the need for increased investment in energy, education and infrastructure.
